Mumbai, Maharashtra, 19th of January, 2026 : Mumbai (Anil Bedag): Celebrated filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is gearing up for a grand big-screen return with his much-anticipated magnum opus Love and War, firmly slated for a 2026 theatrical release, putting to rest all rumours of a 2027 delay. Starring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal together for the first time, the epic historical drama is already one of the most talked-about projects in the industry.
According to a reliable source, the film’s production is progressing smoothly and on schedule. Bhansali has recently completed shooting a key song, while most of the film’s crucial sequences are already wrapped. The focus remains on lavish sets, intricate period detailing and deep emotional storytelling — hallmarks of the filmmaker’s signature style.
The film’s music schedule is equally ambitious.
