Maharashtra’s New Healthcare Chapter: From Innovation To ‘Health For All’.

Mumbai, Maharashtra, 17th of September, 2026 : Maharashtra is developing a new model that seeks to move healthcare innovation beyond technology and connect it with real-world needs on the ground. The Maharashtra Impact and Innovation Hub is part of this vision, with a focus on understanding the health priorities of communities, co-creating solutions with them, and testing these solutions within real healthcare systems.

The Hub will bring together the government, healthcare providers, the private sector, academia, innovators and development partners on a common platform. While exploring the potential of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, digital health, data and precision health, the initiative will focus on strengthening existing healthcare systems and care pathways. “The objective is not merely to adopt new technology, but to ensure that effective healthcare innovations reach every citizen—especially those who are hardest to reach.”

The Hub will serve as a platform for evidence generation, collaboration and quality improvement, while working towards taking successful solutions to scale. Initiatives such as Manyata demonstrate how quality-improvement models from the private healthcare sector can work alongside public health priorities to create a wider impact.
