Khowai, Tripura, 5th of August, 2024 : A Man arrested in connection with raping child in Khowai. In this regard, a written complaint was submitted to the Champahowar Police Station on August 2, 2024. Later the case was handed over to Khowai Women Police Station. The incident took place in Ban Bazar area under Champahowar police station. Champahowar police arrested the accused on Monday (5th August, 2024).
Later she was handed over to the police of Khowai Women Police Station. The name of the arrested accused is Dhirendra Namashudra. While giving the details of the incident, Meena Debbarma, OC of Khowai Women Police Station, said that the child was playing near the house at the time of the incident. Suddenly Birendra lured the baby girl and took her to an abandoned house in the area. There, he indulges in brutal lust on the child. OC Meena Debbarma also said that a case under 65B MS POCSO Act has been accepted against the accused, whose case number is 11/2024. When the accused was sent to the court, the court sent him to 14 days jail. Meanwhile, the court recorded the statement of the child girl on Monday. The incident is spreading in the concerned area.
