Dharmanagar, Tripura, 30th of January, 2026 : An incident of a missing person has caused concern in the Haflong Garjantilla Dewanpasha 6 No. Ward area under Dharmanagar Police Station in North Tripura district.The missing person has been identified as Man Bahadur Sonar (75), son of late Shyam Bahadur Sonar. In connection with the incident, his son Joy Bahadur Sonar lodged a missing diary (GD) at Dharmanagar Police Station on Thursday.According to the GD, Man Bahadur Sonar left his residence on 27 January 2026 at around 10:00 am, informing family members that he was going out for some personal work.
However, even after a long time, he did not return home. Family members searched at the houses of relatives and acquaintances, but no trace of him was found.Joy Bahadur Sonar stated that his father is about 75 years old. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing an army-coloured jacket and formal black trousers. Despite providing specific details to the police, the family has expressed apprehension that someone may have misled him in the wrong direction.The family has appealed to the police to take immediate and necessary steps to trace the missing person. They have also requested the general public that if anyone has any information regarding Man Bahadur Sonar, they should contact the nearest police station or the family members directly. Police sources said that the matter is being investigated seriously and all possible angles are being examined.
