Chandel, Manipur, 8th of October, 2025 : As part of the ongoing 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah celebrations, various activities under different themes were conducted across parts of Manipur.
Under the theme of ‘Men-streaming’, male care-givers were facilitated as Nutrition Champions at ICDS Chakpikarong, in the Chandel district of Manipur.
To tackle the problem of obesity, and raise awareness about it, a sensitization session for school children was conducted by ICDS Project, in Imphal East- I.
As part of Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) activities, an awareness session on Complementary Feeding was conducted by ICDS Project, Imphal City.
To promote the vision of ‘Vocal for Local’ a sensitization session was conducted to promote locally available nutritious food items and the use of DIY toys for Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) by ICDS Project, Imphal East-II.
As the nation observes the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah, by conducting activities under various themes related to practising good nutrition and dietary habits, different states and U.T.s have come together to spread the word of healthy nutrition.
