Mass Deputation By Jubarajnagar Block Congress Against Education Policy, Five-Point Charter Of Demands Submitted.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 23rd of June 2026 : Expressing concern over the state’s education system and criticizing the government’s education policy, the Jubarajnagar Block Congress on Monday (22nd June, 2026) submitted a mass deputation to the School Inspector. The organization raised a five-point charter of demands aimed at protecting students’ fundamental rights and improving the quality of education.Leaders participating in the deputation alleged that the current government’s failed education policy is gradually turning education into a business.

They claimed that this trend is creating numerous difficulties for students from ordinary families and putting their future at risk. The Congress leaders demanded that education be kept free from commercialization and that equal access to quality education be ensured for all.According to the Congress leadership, urgent attention is needed to address issues such as teacher shortages in schools, inadequate infrastructure, the rising cost of education, and the deprivation of various facilities and opportunities for students.

A memorandum highlighting these demands was submitted through the School Inspector to the concerned authorities.Among those present at the programme were former Dharmanagar District Congress President Digbijoy Chakraborty, Jubarajnagar Block Congress President Sachin Chowdhury, former Block President Subhash Pal, Bagbasa Block Congress President Pradip Sinha, PCC member Hiralal Nath, Kebalkanti Nandi, and several other Congress leaders and workers.

At the conclusion of the programme, the leaders stated that the Congress would not hesitate to launch a larger movement in the future if necessary to safeguard the interests of education and secure the future of students. They urged the government to seriously consider the existing problems in the education sector and take prompt and effective measures to address them.
