Hyderabad, Telangana, 27th of February, 2026 : Today, the second day of Mechanical Baja Se India 2026 was held at BVRIT, Narsapur, where buggy power efficiency competition tests were conducted in various categories, informed M Baja Se India Convener Shri Ali Syed, Joint Convener Dr. Vemula Muralikrishna, Professor of Mechanical Engineering BV Raju Institute of Technology Narsapur.

On the second day, students showcased their engineering skills in an enthusiastic atmosphere as the buggy teams showcased their prowess in key tests like Accelerometer, Sled Pull, Maneuverability, Suspension & Traction. M Baja 2026 Co-Convenor Smt. Lalitha Patra Speaking,
“The student teams successfully conducted static events like Technical Inspections, Cost, Validation, Sustainability, Innovation on the same day, as well as dynamic tests like Sled Pull, Maneuverability, Suspension & Traction.

As part of the technical inspection, the teams inspected their vehicles for safety checks as per the prescribed rules, and 36 teams successfully completed the technical inspection till the evening.
Brake Test Teams that completed the technical inspection qualified for the brake test. The main criterion in this test is to drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h for a distance of 100 feet and lock all four wheels at the finish line. By the end of the second day, 17 teams had successfully completed the brake test and entered the next dynamic events. The teams, which completed the safety checks, participated in dynamic events like sled pull, acceleration, maneuvering, suspension and traction.
The selected faculty members were interviewed today after group discussions for the Dronacharya Faculty Advisors Award.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jatin Garg, Secretary, Bajaj Se India Organizing Committee, said, “We are delighted to introduce the new Honda GX430 engine to all the teams participating in the Mechanical Bajaj Se India. Honda India Power Products Limited is providing this engine to the students at a subsidized price. The 425 cc GX430 engine delivers 12.87 HP of power at 3600 rpm and 27.7 Nm of peak torque at 2500 rpm. This provides excellent performance in off-road conditions and long-term reliability. We are confident that the students will be able to translate the principles learned in the classroom into real-world engineering solutions,” he said.
