Mega Blood Donation Camp Organized By All Tripura Hotel And Restaurant Owners Association.

Agartala, Tripura, 24th of November, 2024 : With the initiative of All Tripura Hotel And Restaurant Owners Association has been conducted Mega Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with the Agiye Chalo Sangha at Agiye Chalo Sangha premises, Agartala, Tripura on Sunday (24th November, 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp by lighting the lamp.

Addressing the Blood Donation Camp Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said, Voluntary blood donation is now taking the form of a social movement in the state. There is no substitute for blood. Blood has no religion. We have heard about various donations, but blood donation is above all donations. Therefore, blood donation is a great donation. The Chief Minister said that one percent of the population’s blood needs to be stored in blood banks. For about 40 lakh people in Tripura, 40,000 units of blood need to be stored. It is very important to maintain a balance between the demand and supply of blood. Because blood can be stored for a certain period of time. The Blood Transfusion Board is keeping a close watch on this. The Chief Minister spoke to the blood donors and encouraged them at the blood donation camp.

Saikat Banerjee, General Secretary of All Tripura Hotel And Restaurant Owners Association delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, other members of All Tripura Hotel And Restaurant Owners Association and many other dignitaries were remained present in the programme. Association President Sumit Saha has delivered concluded the ceremony with vote of thanks.
