Khowai, 20th of December, 2023 : With the initiative of Tripura Gramin Bank authority a mega loan distribution (Mega Credit Delivery Camp) programme has been conducted at Town Hall, Khowai on Wednesday (20th December, 2023). Tripura Gramin Bank authority distributed loan amidst the beneficiaries on the occasion of 48th Foundation Day of Tripura Gramin Bank.
Addressing the gathering Payel Saha, Regional Manager of Tripura Gramin Bank said, Gramin Bank started the business in 1976 with four branches in Tripura State with an investment of 2 lakh rupees. Today Gramin Bank’s business is more than 12 thousand crore rupees annually. The Regional Manager also added that 11 crore 76 lakh 95 thousand rupees will be given to 322 beneficiaries in Khowai District in today’s Mega loan camp. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury said that today every citizen in every village in this state has a family relationship with Gramin Bank. Every family in this state is connected with Gramin Bank. In this event, two senior customers of Gramin Bank from 1976 in Khowai District were felicitated with a bouquet of flowers.
The programme has been presided over by Subrata Mondal, LDM. Among the other distinguished participants there were Payel Saha, Regional Manager of Tripura Gramin Bank, Pinaki Das Chowdhury, MLA, Joydeb Debbarma Sabhadhipati, Khowai Zilla Parisad, Debasish Nath Sharma Chairman of Khowai Municipal Council and many others remained present in the programme.
