Dharmanagar, Tripura, 1st of February, 2026 : Residents of the Damchhara area under Panisagar subdivision in North Tripura on Saturday submitted a written memorandum to the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), demanding prompt resolution of various civic issues and urgent administrative intervention.In the memorandum, the residents highlighted several long-pending problems affecting daily life in the area, including the deplorable condition of roads, shortage of drinking water, irregular electricity supply, and inadequate health and education services.

They alleged that during the monsoon season, the kutcha roads become completely unfit for movement, causing severe hardship to students, patients, and the general public.The memorandum further pointed out the lack of a proper drainage system in the area, leading to waterlogging and increased public health risks. The villagers demanded permanent and safe drinking water arrangements, normalization of electricity supply, and immediate repair and renovation of the damaged roads.The memorandum submitters urged the administration to conduct a ground-level assessment of the issues and take swift corrective measures. According to sources, the SDO’s office has assured that appropriate steps will be taken to address the grievances raised.
