Agartala, 27th of December 2023 : Veteran politician, MLA of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under 7-Ramnagar Assembly Constituency and Former Cabinet Minister of Government of Tripura Surajit Datta breathed his last at Kolkata on Wednesday (27th December, 2023) night. He breathed his last during treatment in a hospital at Kolkata. He was 69 years old.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha eternal peace to his departed soul and expresses deep condolences to the bereaved relatives.

As a mark of respect, the Govt of Tripura announced one-day State Mourning on Thursday.”, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha tweeted.
