Agartala, Tripura, 30th of August, 2026 : Hon’ble Lok Sabha MP, Former Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb received a grand welcome at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport in Agartala on Sunday (30th August, 2026), following his appointment as the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
He was greeted at MBB Airport by BJP State President Abhishek Debroy, Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, ministers like Tinku Roy and Sushanta Chowdhury, and a large gathering of party workers and supporters.
A large number of BJP leaders, party workers and supporters gathered at the airport to extend their greetings and congratulate Deb on his new organisational responsibility. The atmosphere turned festive as supporters welcomed him with slogans and floral greetings.
Deb’s appointment as the BJP’s National General Secretary is being seen as an important organizational responsibility for the senior leader from Tripura. His return to the state following the announcement drew significant attention among party supporters and political circles.
