Agartala, Tripura, 30th of July, 2026 : Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme the weekly public interaction programme of Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. The Chief Minister interacted with the common people about their issues and difficulties.
As the part, the Chief Minister’s weekly programme “71st episode of Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ on Wednesday (29th July, 2025), people of different profession in the State attended the programme. They spoke with the Chief Minister regarding their problems seeking assistance on various aspects such as medical treatment, financial assistant, education etc. Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha patiently listened to each of them and directed officials and Secretaries of concerned departments to take the necessary initiatives.
Like other days today also the chief minister, in his official residence, listened to the grievances and complaints of people coming from different corners of the state.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha addressed the grievances of people from different parts of Tripura district during the 71st edition of the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme. The Chief Minister interacted with beneficiaries from the War Room of TIFT, Agartala, Tripura.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha interacted directly with people from across the state during the 71st edition of the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme, reaffirming the government’s commitment to addressing public grievances with compassion and prompt action.
Held at the Chief Minister’s official residence, the programme provided a platform for citizens to raise issues related to healthcare, financial assistance and other concerns.
Dr. Saha who is also health minister of the state has personally heard each applicant and instructed the concerned officials to take immediate and effective steps to resolve their problems.
A total of 18 applicants met the Chief Minister during the programme, with most seeking financial assistance and government support for medical treatment.
The cases included patients suffering from heart disease, brain tumours, kidney ailments, blood cancer, lung cancer, thyroid cancer, pneumonia, vision-related disorders and other rare medical conditions.
After listening to each case with empathy, the Chief Minister directed senior Health Department officials and hospital authorities to ensure timely treatment and necessary support. Based on the applicants’ financial and socio-economic conditions, several beneficiaries were also provided financial assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Speaking during the interaction, Dr. Saha urged people to avoid the unnecessary tendency of seeking treatment outside the state, saying the government has significantly strengthened Tripura’s healthcare infrastructure in recent years.
He said advanced medical facilities, modern diagnostic equipment, specialist doctors and improved healthcare services are now available within the state, enabling patients to receive quality treatment closer to home.
The Chief Minister appealed to people to have confidence in the state’s healthcare system and cooperate with the government’s efforts to further improve medical services.
The programme was attended by Chief Minister’s Secretary and Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, Director of Health Services Dr. Debasri Debbarma, GBP Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Bidhan Goswami, IGM Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Nirmal Sarkar, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Shiromani Debbarma, along with other senior officials of the Health Department.
