New Delhi, Delhi, 28th of September, 2026 : To celebrate the International Day of Peace, observed globally on 21 September, CyberPeace launched the journey of the National CyberPeace eSports League (CEL) 10.0 with a Curtain Raiser at the CyberPeace Café, Level7 Skyline, Doranda, Ranchi, carrying one message to every screen in the country: Gaming for Peace. Gaming for a Safer Tomorrow.
Now in its tenth edition, the League has grown from a city-level tournament into a national movement and stands as India’s first and only esports initiative built entirely around ethical gaming, responsible play and the creation of resilient gaming communities. It is truly one of its kind: a league where the scoreboard measures skill, and the mission measures impact.
A Curtain Raiser That Felt Like a Movement
Nearly 100 young gamers from Jharkhand, Bihar and several other states travelled to Ranchi to compete in the Free Fire MAX Squad Tournament battling in squads of four through a group stage, with the top squads from each group advancing to a 12-squad Grand Finale, where cumulative points across six matches decided the Champion, Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up. Winners take home cash prizes, medals and blockchain-verified certificates but every participant leaves as part of a larger mission.
True to its theme, the event ran on safety by design: a code of conduct with zero tolerance for toxicity, fair-play and anti-cheat standards, age-appropriate participation with guardian consent, and cyber-safety awareness woven through the day — including practical guidance on staying safe from online fraud, account compromise and gaming-related scams.
The defining moment of the day came away from the screens, when more than 92 gamers rose together to take the CyberPeace Gamers’ Pledge, a commitment to ethical gaming, non-toxic behaviour, balanced and responsible play, and building resilient gaming communities online. And with that shared oath, something new quietly took shape: the CyberPeace Gaming Corps.

CEL 10.0 stands at a rare intersection where a grassroots gaming event moves in step with national and global priorities. This year’s UN theme for the International Day of Peace — “Invest in Peace: For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day” — honours the everyday architects of peace, and CEL 10.0 carries that call into cyberspace, inviting India’s gamers to become everyday architects of digital peace, in the spirit of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, most directly SDG 16 on peace, justice and strong institutions.
Closer home, the League echoes the youth, skilling and innovation aspirations of Viksit Bharat@2047, connects young talent to the Orange Economy of gaming, content and creator careers, and carries the Fit India spirit of balancing screen with sport — a shared direction, without implying formal programme affiliation.
The Road to New Delhi
The choice of October for the national finale is deliberate: India observes October as National Cyber Security Awareness Month, and the CEL 10.0 finale in New Delhi on 31 October 2026 will arrive as the crescendo of that month-long awareness journey — a national celebration of gaming, safety and digital citizenship on its closing day.
The Ranchi Curtain Raiser is also an Official Pre-Summit Event of CyberPeace Summit 3.0, connecting gaming communities directly to the wider global conversation on safety, responsibility and peace in cyberspace.
The envisioned journey for every participant is clear: Gamer → Responsible Gamer → CyberPeace Keeper → Cyber First Responder → Resilient Community.
And the ambition is larger still — from India, for the world: demonstrating how the energy, skills and networks of gaming communities can help build a safer, more responsible and peaceful digital future for all.
