Ampi, Tripura, 16th of November 2025 : With the initiative of Amarpur press club in collaboration with Amarpur nagar panchayat & ICA National Press Day celebration 2025 has been conducted here in Anandhara hall in Amarpur Gomati Tripura today. In presence of many dignitaries Amarpur nagar panchayat chairperson Bikash Saha has inaugurated the programme.
On this occasion many senior journalists have attended the event and took participation in the programme. Addressing the participants Amarpur nagar panchayat chairperson Bikash Saha has said, “Press plays a significant role in democratic administration; to generate public opinion over any kind of issue related to citizens press has enormous contribution. As a 4th pillar of democratic country it has firmed affiliation with countrymen. To preserve and protect democratic public interest press has constitutional fundamental right to raise voice over any kind of anti-democratic tendency.”
On this National Press Day occasion sweets and fruits have been distributed amidst patients in Amarpur hospital. Senior journalists of the subdivision were given felicitation through this event. Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Anupam Chakraborty, Amarpur SDM, Nirman Das, SDPO Amarpur, Dayal Majumdar, SIO, Pranamoy Saha, president of Amarpur press club, Rabitra Jamatia, Amarpur BAC chairman and many others remained present in the programme.
