I am also delighted to welcome all NCC officers, JCOs, NCOs, and civil staffs detailed for this camp and persons from the respective media house.

CATC is usually the first major camp where a cadet got exposure to basic military training, NCC culture, discipline and values. Cadets develop leadership skills through various activities like group discussions, public speaking, debate competitions, teamwork and camaraderie. During these ten days, cadets will be exposed to various NCC modules like drills, firing, map reading, special lecture cum demonstration programmes on relevant issues, social service activities, etc.

Attendance of CATC is often mandatory for cadets to qualify for advanced camps like TSC, RDC, EBSB and other centrally organised camps. The camp instills a sense of routine, punctuality and military discipline which is very crucial for personal and professional life.

The NCC in Tripura is a formidable force, nurturing 5600 cadets across the state including 3300 boys and 2300 Girl Cadets. It has been planned to be upgrade the strength to 10,000 cadets.
