Dharmanagar, Tripura, 18th of June 2026 : With the initiative of the 1st Battalion, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), RRC Agartala in the collaboration of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) North Tripura District a School Safety Program was organized on Thursday (18th June, 2026) at Brajendranagar Higher Secondary School, Kadamtala, under Dharmanagar Sub-Division of North Tripura district.

The awareness programme commenced at 11:30 AM and witnessed the participation of teachers and a large number of students. Among those present were the District Programme Officer (Disaster Management), the Headmaster of the school, a Sub-Inspector of the 1st Battalion NDRF, the Officer-in-Charge of Kadamtala Fire Service Station, and other distinguished guests.
During the programme, students were provided with practical training and awareness on disaster preparedness, safety measures, emergency response procedures, and disaster risk reduction.The resource persons emphasized that proper knowledge and timely action during disasters play a crucial role in minimizing loss of life and property. The primary objective of the initiative was to enhance safety awareness among students and school staff and to strengthen their capacity to respond effectively during emergencies. Participants described the programme as timely, informative, and highly beneficial.
