Sabroom, Tripura, 5th of December, 2025 : Officials from the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), PWD Senior officials and South District Police inspected in National Highway in the South District on Friday (5th December, 2025).
According to report, Along various stretches of National Highway 8 in the South District, ever since NSIDCL constructed new road sections, several parts of the road have sunk and turned into potholes. This complaint had been raised for a long time by drivers and vehicle operators, who at different times also reported to the media that these road conditions were causing frequent accidents for motorists.
Recently, after multiple accidents occurred in different parts of the South District, the district police officials inspected the national highway together with NHIDCL officials, keeping road safety in focus. The NHIDCL officers, along with the manager of their contracted firm, Minabati Enterprise, identified the sections of the road that were damaged and instructed the contractor to begin repair work promptly in the coming days.
