Agartala, Tripura, 29th of July, 2024 : The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the ICFAI University Tripura in collaboration with National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Kolkata organized a faculty development workshop on “Essentials of Outcome Based Education (OBE)” at the ICFAI University Tripura campus from July 9th to 13th, 2024.
The main objective of the workshop was to enhance teaching-learning methodologies in the Higher Educational Institutions and to equip the participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement outcome-based education effectively. The programme spanned five days with a total of twenty technical sessions. It commenced with pre-training activities and concluded with post-training activities to assess the outcomes. All the faculty members of the University have actively participated in the training program and acquired hands-on skills various crucial aspects of Outcome Based Education like Principles, techniques, design of outcome based curriculum, teaching- learning strategies, Lesson planning methodologies and Assessment practices etc.
The programme formally inaugurated by Prof.(Dr.) Biplab Halder, Vice Chancellor of the University and Dr. D.P. Mishra, Director of NITTTR, Kolkata on 9thJuly, 2024. Dr. Habiba Hussain and Dr. Urmila Kar from NITTTR, Kolkata have conducted various technical sessions as resource persons and provided hands-on training to the faculty members. Dr. Dilip Nath, the IQAC Coordinator of the University has coordinated the entire programme.
