Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Industries & Commerce minister Manoj Kanti Deb attended the North-East Zonal Conference for PM Gati-Shakti Master Plan at Guwahati on Monday (28th February, 2022).
“Attended the North East Zonal Conference for #PM Gati Shakti Master Plan for multi modal connectivity held at Guwahati along with Hon Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri; Hon Union Minister of State Rameswar Teli; Hon Min Chandra Mohan Patowary and Hon Ministers of Nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura.
Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji aims to bring about paradigm shift in connectivity through this initiative which has been reaffirmed by allocation of funds in the #Budget 2022. Government of Assam is committed in participating whole-heartedly in this unique program to improve connectivity in the region.
To oversee the implementation of #PM Gati Shakti, Government of Assam has set up a 3-Tier institutional framework with an Empowered Group of Secretaries at the top with Chief Secretary as the Chairman and senior most Secretaries of the State Government Departments as Members.
We have also set up a Network Planning Group comprising senior officers from different departments, dealing with Planning & Networking for infrastructure development projects. We have further constituted a Technical Support Unit for active collaboration with BISAG-N to develop the Master Plan. Initiated capacity building & training program for officials to ensure that initiatives under #PMGatiShakti translate into tangible actions. To help Oil India Limited in its smooth functioning, urged Hon Union Min Sri Puri to take steps for allocating some of its shares to Government of Assam”, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.
