Offer Distribution Programme For The Post Of Constable (Men & Women) In Tripura Police.

Agartala, Tripura, 13th of May, 2025 : With the initiative of Tripura Police Government of Tripura, Offer Distribution Programme has been organized at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala, Tripura on Tuesday (13th May, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and presents guests handed over the offer among the qualified candidates. Today, through this program, a total of 975 candidates have been given job appointment letters for the post of State Police Constable. Out of these, 643 are men and 332 are women.

Addressing at the Offer Distribution ceremony Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has urged the newly appointed constables in the state police to work in the public interest by fulfilling their assigned duties. It is due to the transparent recruitment policy of the state government and the hard work of the job recipients that they have received offers today and their dreams have come true. The Chief Minister said today is a memorable day for the job achiever. Some of the job achiever may be the first government job achieve in their families. As a result, a new hope will undoubtedly be instilled in their families. In fact, today can be called a significant milestone in the employment of the youth of the State. She said that initiatives have been taken to create new posts in various departments to bring transparency and speed in the administration and to fill the old posts. In addition to developing infrastructure in the state, the government is continuously making efforts to strengthen the economic base by creating employment opportunities up to the last person.

“Present Government came to power by maintaining a transparent recruitment process, a total of 17,554 candidates have been Given government jobs including dye-in harness till March this year. In 2025 alone, 4,499 candidates have received Government job appointment letters so far. In line with the policy of 33 percent reservation for women in Government jobs, 332 women have been given appointment letters today. As a result, women will be self-reliant and economically strong. She said that the State Government has already approved the appointment of 916 more police constables. The recruitment process of 218 sub-inspectors approved by the government will also start soon. Moreover, the process of enlisting 6,067 special executives is underway.” Chief Minister added.

At the event, the Chief Minister said that the State Government is committed to establishing the rule of law. The police have been given the opportunity to work independently without any interference in the work of maintaining law and order. The Tripura Police is continuously working to maintain law and order in the state. As a result, Tripura has come up to the third place from the lowest among the 28 states in the country in terms of overall crime. Tripura is ranked eighth from the lowest among the 28 states in terms of crime against women and crime against bodies. Tripura is ranked lowest among the 28 states in terms of property crimes. Overall crime has decreased by 19.4 percent in 2024 compared to 2023. In addition, the overall crime rate has decreased by another 10 percent in the first 4 months of 2025 compared to 2024. The Election Commission of India has praised the Tripura Police and administrative system for conducting the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections smoothly.

The Chief Minister also added that 24X7 women’s help desks are operational in every police station. 1091 women’s help lines are operational for the protection of women. There are a total of 9 women’s police stations, one in each district of the State. The Chief Minister also mentioned the special drive of the State police to control traffic. He further said that more than 2 lakh people have participated in more than 9,000 PRAYASH programs of the Tripura Police in 2024. State police personnel have also been trained on the new criminal law. He also mentioned the government’s zero tolerance policy to build a drug-free Tripura. The Chief Minister expressed the hope that the successful candidates will play an important role in building friendly relations with the people.

State Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan delivered the welcome speech. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das, Hon’ble MP and Tripura Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajib Bhattacharjee, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder, Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education Minister Tinku Roy, Hon’ble Tribal Welfare, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture, Statistics Minister Bikash Debbarma, Hon’ble Cooperation, Tribal Welfare (TRP & PTG), Welfare of Minorites Sukla Charan Noatia, senior police officers and many other dignitaries were present in the  ceremony.
