One-Day National Seminar On The “Contemporary And Future World : Neohumanist Vision Of P.R Sarkar.

Renaissance Universal(RU) and Renaissance Artists and Writers Association (RAWA), the intellectual and cultural wing of Ananda Marga Pracharak Samgha in collaboration with The Department of Philosophy, Tripura University ( A Central University) Renaissance Universal(RU) and Renaissance Artists and Writers Association (RAWA) organized one day National Seminar on the Theme “Contemporary and Future World : Neohumanist Vision of P.R Sarkar”/ Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji on 8th May 2023 at the Auditorium of the Department of Philosophy, Tripura University. The Seminar was inaugurated by Prof. Ganga Prasad Prasain, Hon’ble Vice- Chancellor, Tripura University (Central) on 8th May,23.

Prof. Parsain highlighted the need of reviving the contemporary philosophical tradition in new light and mentioned that such seminars and deliberations would definitely enrich the knowledge tradition of India which have been there since the time immemorial. Acharya Divyachetanananda Avadhuta highlighted the basic foundations of Neohumanism of P R Sarkar. The three fold essence of human being and how in P R Sarkar’s Philosophy all the different approaches of the meaning of Human being and humanity at large are integrated in spirit.

Hon’ble Registrar Dr. Deepak Sharma was the Guest of Honour in the inaugural session and he highlighted the essence of contemporary Indian philosophies and contribution made by the philosophers on Humanism in some or the other form. Quoting several Contemporary philosophers like Sri Aurobindo, M N Roy and placing them vis-a-vis contemporary western Philosophers who somehow couldn’t grasp the essence of the meaning of being human. He also mentioned the necessity of including thoughts of contemporary Indian Philosophers like P. R. Sarkar in University curriculum for the benefit of society.

The session was chaired by Prof. Aditya Kumar Mohanty, Senior Professor , the Department of Philosophy, Tripura University. Prof. Mohanty summarized various facets of Shrii P. R. Sarkar’s Philosophy. He mentioned that when one reads his Philosophy one needs to read him without any bias.

The welcome speech was delivered by Dr. A. J. Sarma , Head , Department of Philosophy, Tripura University. Concept note of the Seminar was read out by Dr. Sindhu Poudyal, Convener of the National Seminar. Dr. Anil Pratap Giri, Professor ,Department of Sanskrit, Allahabad University, UP talked on Cycle of Creation in the light of Ananda Sutram, the philosophical text written by P.R.Sarkar.

Dr. Sunandita Bhowmik, Assistant Professor, Department of Education. Coochbehar Panchanan Barma University, Coochbehar, West Bengal talked on Neohumanist Education of P.R.Sarkar.

Dr. Biswajit Bhowmik, Deputy Director of IGNOU deliberated on PROUT For All-round Development of Human Society.Dr. Partha Sarathi Sil, Asstt. Professor, Dept.of Sanskrit ,Tripura University deliberated on the uniqueness of Sarkar’s philosophy.

There were cultural performances like singing Prabhat Samgiita by Kanika Debnath and her team and dance performance on Prabhat Samgiita by Susmita Debnath and her students from Ananda Marga School, Bishalgarh, Tripura.
