Over 4 Lakh Premises In Assam Now Connected With Jio — A Testament To The People’s Trust And Digital Progress

Guwahati, Assam, 30th of October 2025 : Reliance Jio has achieved yet another significant milestone in Assam’s digital transformation, successfully connecting more than 4 lakh premises across the state through its JioFiber, JioAirFiber (5G Fixed Wireless and UBR broadband services). This achievement underscores the strong trust and widespread adoption of Jio’s services by the people of Assam, who continue to choose Jio as their preferred digital lifeline.

As per the latest Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) performance report for September 2025, Jio continues to lead across connectivity categories in Assam. The company’s wireline subscriber base stood at 2,32,275, while its JioAirFiber (Fixed Wireless 5G) services grew from 1,52,880 in August to 1,61,179 in September. In addition, the UBR (Fixed Wireless) subscriber base reached 20,701. Together, these segments account for over 4 lakh digitally connected premises across the state.

Jio has also recently introduced the revolutionary Jio Cloud PC, offered free with both JioFiber and JioAirFiber connections. Jio Cloud PC turns any screen into a full-featured personal computer, enabling users to experience seamless, high-performance computing anytime, anywhere—without investing in costly hardware. Alongside this, Jio is offering free AI Learning Courses, designed to empower students and citizens with future-ready digital skills.
