Khowai, Tripura, 5th of August, 2025 : With the jointly initiative of Food and Agricultural Department Government of Tripura to start the procurement of Paddy under Minimum Support Price (MSP), from today (5th August, 2025) at Office Tilla Khowai Subdivision. In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Sabhadhipati of the Khowai Zilla Parishad Aparna Singh Roy (Datta) inaugurated the purchase of paddy by lighting the lamp .
Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of the event, Sabhadhipati of of the Khowai Zilla Parishad Aparna Singh Roy (Datta) said that along with the overall development of the state, the government is working extensively for the development of agriculture. Adopting and implementing plans in the interests of agriculture and farmers.She urged everyone to come forward to build a self-reliant and better Tripura.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sirshendu Debbarma delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of the event today. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Vice Chairman of Khowai Panchayat Samiti Uttam Adhikari, Pradyut Dey. Tisku Bhattacharjee, Chairman of Khowai Panchayat Samiti, presided over the event. According to source Till August 13, paddy will be purchased from farmers at this paddy procurement center at a rate of 2,300 per quintal. At this stage, there is a target of purchasing 1,000 MT of paddy from farmers of Khowai subdivision.
