Peaceful And Spiritually Fervent Celebration Of Eid In Dharmanagar.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 28th of May 2026 : The holy festival of Eid was celebrated on Thursday in the northern town of Dharmanagar with peace, religious devotion, and great enthusiasm. Since early morning, thousands of devotees from Dharmanagar town and nearby areas gathered at the town’s main Eidgah ground dressed in new clothes to offer Eid prayers. The Eidgah premises witnessed a festive atmosphere from the very beginning of the day. Smiles and joy were visible on the faces of people of all ages, while greetings of “Eid Mubarak” echoed throughout the area.

At the scheduled time, the special Eid prayers were offered under the leadership of the Imam. Following the prayers, special supplications were made seeking peace and harmony for the state and the country, communal unity, the welfare of humanity, and world peace. Devotees embraced one another and exchanged Eid greetings warmly. Many elderly residents remarked that, like every year, this year’s Eid celebration in Dharmanagar was marked by harmony and joy.Outside the Eidgah ground, temporary stalls began attracting crowds from the morning itself. Shop keepers displayed a variety of toys, balloons, whistles, colorful items, and snacks to attract children and teenagers. The roads surrounding the Eidgah became lively with the cheerful presence of children dressed in new clothes enjoying the festival with their families. Many families were also seen spending time outside the Eidgah after prayers and enjoying shopping together.

The festive spirit was clearly visible across different parts of the town throughout the day.Muslim households welcomed guests with traditional hospitality, serving vermicelli dishes and various festive delicacies. People from different communities also visited their Muslim friends and acquaintances to exchange Eid greetings, reflecting the strong communal harmony of the region.This spirit of unity and brotherhood once again highlighted Dharmanagar’s tradition of social harmony.

On the occasion of Eid, the administration had also arranged tight security measures. Police and security personnel were deployed at the Eidgah ground and other important locations in the town. Special monitoring was carried out to maintain law and order and regulate traffic movement, ensuring that no untoward incident was reported anywhere.According to local dignitaries, Eid in Dharmanagar is not merely a religious festival but also a symbol of brotherhood, communal harmony, and social unity.
