Mumbai, Maharashtra, 14th of August, 2026 : As India celebrates 79 years of Independence, LUV MY INDIA, India’s first nationalist lifestyle brand, has joined hands with NO GAALI PLEASE, a citizens’ movement advocating respectful public discourse, to launch “Gaali Se Azaadi”—a merchandise collection encouraging Indians to become independent of something else this year: abusive language.
The collection is built on a simple yet powerful belief: freedom of expression becomes stronger when our ideas are stronger than our insults.

At a time when public conversations increasingly shape society, LUV MY INDIA and NO GAALI PLEASE believe disagreement is essential to democracy—but abuse should never become its default language.
“India is a democracy. Every citizen has the right to question, disagree, criticise and debate. NO GAALI PLEASE is not asking people to lower their voice. We together are simply asking India to raise the standard of the conversation. Passion is welcome.
Abuse shouldn’t be.” Says Vandana Sethhi, Founder Luv My India.Political freedom gave India a voice. Today, LUV MY INDIA believes the country has an opportunity to strengthen that voice further—not by speaking less, but by speaking better. Real freedom isn’t the freedom to abuse. It is the confidence to express ourselves without needing abuse. If we can disagree with dignity, we strengthen both our democracy and our society.
