Poshan Maah Awareness Programme Organized By Tripura State Commission For Women In Khowai.

Khowai, Tripura, 27th of September, 2024 : With the initiative of Tripura State Commission for Women Poshan Maah 2024 has been organized at Rasaraj Community hall, Ramchandraghat under Khowai District on Friday (27th September, 2024).

Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2024 which is being carried out with vigour across the country has today touched a remarkable milestone. These activities are sensitisation activities which inform participants on the benefits of practising good nutritional habits through diet and lifestyle observances.

Addressing the participants the programme chief guest Jharna Debbarma, Chairperson of the Tripura Commission for Women has said, that various programs are being organized across the state as a week-long Poshan Maah. Poshan Maah is very important for expectant mothers, the Central and State Governments have taken up this program on a different scale, and it has spread everywhere from urban to rural areas. She also added that in the past days there are many pregnant mothers and sisters in our country who do not get nutritious food, as a result of which the mother and child are not developing properly, in many cases it is seen that the pregnant mother and child die due to malnutrition which is not desirable in our State. So we have been working with the aim of reaching all levels of society this Poshan Maah. She called upon every person in the society to lend a helping hand for this.

In today’s Poshan Maah awareness programme apart from the Jharna Debbarma, Chairperson of the Tripura Commission for Women, Vice Chairperson Madhumita Chowdhury, Women Commission member Namita Debbarma, former Khowai Zilla Parishad Chairman Jaydeb Debbarma and many others remained present in the event.
