Amarpur, Tripura, 29th of January, 2026 : For the motivational achievement & successful implementation of PM KUSUM Solar Pump Project the Hon’ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu has felicitated Smt. Bijaya Devi Jamatia, wife of Tejendra Jamatia, a resident of Dalak VC under Amarpur subdivision in Gomati Tripura. As per the local reports, through this solar pump project she has gained appreciable achievement in multiple sectors. With this PM KUSUM solar pump project she has generated sufficient water management for her agriculture sector, water requirement fulfilment for kitchen and family as well as utilized it for flower and vegetable cultivation too.
The project has appeared multiple benefits for her family. When the concerned authority sent investigation team to check her project, they have found it inspiring succeeded; influenced over her neighbours. After reaching the appreciable reports to Delhi the president Murmu has invited her for felicitation. As per the report, the Pradhan Mantri Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyaan (PM-KUSUM) project aims to solarize the Indian agricultural sector, providing financial subsidies for installing standalone solar pumps and grid-connected solar power plants to enhance farmers’ income and promote sustainable energy. The scheme, overseen by the MNRE, offers up to 60% subsidy for pump installation (up to 7.5 HP) and solarizes existing grid-connected pumps, allowing farmers to sell excess power.
