New Delhi, Delhi, 20th of January, 2026 : The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today shared a profound Sanskrit Subhashitam that underscores the timeless wisdom of focusing on the essence amid vast knowledge and limited time.
The sanskrit verse- अनन्तशास्त्रं बहुलाश्च विद्याः अल्पश्च कालो बहुविघ्नता च।
यत्सारभूतं तदुपासनीयं हंसो यथा क्षीरमिवाम्बुमध्यात्॥
conveys that while there are innumerable scriptures and diverse branches of knowledge for attaining wisdom, human life is constrained by limited time and numerous obstacles. Therefore, one should emulate the swan, which is believed to separate milk from water, by discerning and grasping only the essence- the ultimate truth.
