Amarpur, Tripura, 31st Of December 2024 : To oppose transfer order of Dr. Satyajit Paul of Ampi Nagar CHC general public have staged road blockade here on Teliamura-Amarpur road in Ampi, Gomati Tripura. As per the report, due to shortage of doctors Ampi CHC is not running smoothly and in such a situation Dr. Satyajit Paul has been selected for deputation in Natun Bazar hospital and instead of him another doctor arrived here in the hospital. When public came to know the over the issue they have assembled here nearby Ampi hospital and blocked the road demanding his stay order for Ampi CHC.
As consequence large queues of standing vehicles have been found on both directions of the road. After receiving information Amarpur SDM has arrived on the spot and convinced excited people stating that he would inform DM and determination will be taken by the administration for his staying order. Then after several hours when blockers gained confirmation from the SDM angry people removed the blockade.
According to the local villagers, this Ampi hospital needs at least 4 doctors but the CHC is always going on in shortage state of doctors. The concerned health department must take an appropriate step over this Ampi CHC functioning management and dispose at least 4 doctors for this hospital, demanded the people of Ampi Nagar.
