Khowai, Tripura, 10th of October, 2026 : It was a day of great joy and pride for the people of Khowai as the Ayurvedic Hospital at Puran Bazar was officially reopened on Friday (9th October, 2026). The inauguration ceremony began with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp by Hon’ble Chief Whip Kalyani Saha Roy, followed by the formal inauguration of the hospital by cutting the ribbon.
The hospital has been reopened with the aim of bringing Ayurvedic healthcare services closer to the people of Khowai and promoting a healthier lifestyle.

Ayurveda is a valuable part of India’s ancient medical heritage. This traditional system of medicine plays an important role in promoting health, maintaining well-being and providing treatment services according to patients’ needs.
With the hospital resuming operations, residents of Khowai will have greater access to Ayurvedic healthcare services. The hospital aims to ensure that every patient receives proper medical attention, appropriate guidance and compassionate support.

The reopening is expected to play a significant role in strengthening healthcare services in Khowai and building public trust in Ayurvedic treatment.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Social activist Anukul Das, Municipal Council Chairman Debashish Nath Sharma, Chief Medical Officer Rampada Jamatia, Councillor Piyush Kranti Chowdhury and many other distinguished dignitaries were present at the event.
