Agartala, Tripura, 9th of May, 2025 : With The Initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Government of Tripura organized Rabindra Jayanti at Rabindra Kanan, Agartala, Tripura on Friday (9th May, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder inaugurated the programme.
Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder and presents guest paid floral tributes to Rabindranath Tagore on his birth anniversary at Rabindra Kanan. Addressing at the celebration ceremony Mayor said that Rabindranath was a shining star of Indian literature and culture. It is impossible to imagine literature and culture without Rabindranath. Therefore, the more we study Rabindranath, the more we will prosper. Rabindranath is an emotional subject for all of us. Rabindranath had a deep connection with Tripura. He wrote many plays and novels about Tripura. Rabindranath’s thoughts, philosophy and ideology should be highlighted more and more to the coming generation.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there were Special Secretary of the Information and Culture Department, Debapriya Bardhan, Tripura State Cultural Advisory Committee Vice Chairman Subrata Chakraborty, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar and many other dignitaries were present in the celebration ceremony.
