Railway PoliceOf Agartala Seizes Cannabis, Arrested 1 Woman Drug Peddlers In Agartala Railway Station.

Agartala, Tripura, 12th of October, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Sunday (12th October, 2025). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested One (1) woman drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and  seized a total of 2.615 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja). She wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.

According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala, at about 8 PM we managed to catch one woman namely Smt. Renu Kumari (50) W/O Sri Saligram Singh of Dumri Word no- 10 PO- Naya nandgola PS- Tikapatti Dist- Purnia Bihar.   During her search we recovered one pitthu bag from her possession which containing total 2.615 Kg purported to be contraband Ganja. The value of this Ganja is Rs- 40 thousand approx in black market. GRP & RPF detained her from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the contraband Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP100, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against her.
