Recruitment For More Than 400 Posts Across Various Departments : Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.

Agartala, Tripura, 20th of November 2025 : More than 400 posts across various departments of the State Government will be filled. This decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting held on November 18 Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury shared this information on Wednesday (19th November, 2025) at a press conference at the Secretariat while briefing about the decisions taken in cabinet meeting.

Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury stated that 17 vacant posts under the Cooperation Department will be filled. These vacant posts include Audifor, Investigator, and Statistical Investigator. The recruitment process for these Group-C posts with fixed pay will be conducted through JRBT. He further informed that 28 ICDS Supervisor posts under the Social Welfare and Social Education Department will be filled through TPSC.

Fourteen new posts have been created under the Urban Development Department, and it has been decided that these posts will be filled. These 14 posts include Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, and Public Health Engineer. Under the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, eight contractual posts for faculty members and supporting staff at the Tripura Film and Television Institute have been approved.

To strengthen the state’s Anganwadi programme, it has been decided to open 119 new Anganwadi Centres under the Social Welfare and Social Education Department. For operating these new centres, 119 Anganwadi Helpers and 119 Anganwadi Workers will be recruited. Additionally, the Secondary Education Department will recruit 22 Night Guards (Group-D). The Tourism Minister mentioned that the recruitment of 407 personnel across various departments reflects the pro-people approach of the state government.

Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury further stated that along with filling vacant posts, several other important decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting. He informed that TIT will be upgraded to Tripura Technical University. Agartala Women’s College will be upgraded to a State Government Women’s University. Additionally, in the cabinet meeting, the Tripura Journalist Pension Scheme was amended to provide increased benefits to the journalists.
