Guwahati, Assam, 30th of June 2026 : The latest telecom subscriber data for May 2026 released by TRAI highlights Reliance Jio’s continued growth in Assam, with Jio surpassing 5 lakh Jio Home connections. The milestone reinforces Jio’s leadership in the home broadband segment, while its strong performance in wireless subscriber additions underscores the growing preference for its next-generation digital connectivity.

As per the latest subscriber data, the total Jio Home base in Assam has crossed the significant milestone of 5.03 lakh connections, reaching 5,03,636 subscribers. The total Jio Home connections comprises 2,51,505 JioFiber (wireline) subscribers, 2,11,928 JioAirFiber (5G Fixed Wireless Access) subscribers, and 40,203 UBR Fixed Wireless Access connections, reflecting the rapid expansion of Jio Home ecosystem across urban as well as underserved areas.
The milestone highlights the growing acceptance of Jio’s high-speed broadband services across Assam. Nearly half of Jio Home customers are now connected through JioAirFiber, demonstrating the success of the company’s 5G-powered Fixed Wireless Access technology in delivering fibre-like internet speeds to homes and businesses where conventional fibre deployment may be difficult.
On the mobility front, Reliance Jio continued its strong growth momentum in Assam, emerging as the leading operator in monthly net subscriber additions while further strengthening its wireless subscriber base. The sustained customer additions reflect the growing preference for Jio’s robust 5G network, expanding coverage, superior digital experience and innovative offerings, reinforcing its position as one of the state’s leading telecom service providers.
