Dharmanagar, Tripura, 18th of March, 2026 : The administration has intensified its review of election preparedness ahead of the upcoming by-election in the 56-Dharmanagar Assembly constituency of North Tripura district. A key review meeting was held in Dharmanagar on Wednesday.Chief Electoral Officer Brijesh Pandey was present at the meeting. Detailed discussions were held on various aspects of the by-election, particularly focusing on the polling process, security arrangements, law and order situation, and overall administrative preparedness. Officials exchanged views to ensure smooth conduct of the election.Among those present were Additional CEO Ushajan Mog, Police Observer S. Sitesh, Additional Director General of Police (AP) G.S. Rao, District Magistrate & District Election Officer of North Tripura Chandni Chandran, Superintendent of Police Avinash Rai, along with other administrative officials.

After the meeting, Chief Electoral Officer Brijesh Pandey visited the strong room at Dharmanagar Government Girls’ School and inspected several polling stations. He instructed officials to ensure that the election process is conducted in a completely transparent, free, fair, and peaceful manner.The administration stated that most of the preparations for the election are nearly complete, and necessary measures have been put in place to ensure that voters can cast their votes without any inconvenience.
