Khowai, 22nd of February 2024 : Once again,a devastating road accident was occurred here at Sonatala area under Khowai district on Thursday (22nd February, 2024). According to the details of the incident, face-to-face collision between Passenger Auto TR 06 36 77 and goods carrying CNG car TR06B 1546 in Sonatala area around 12:39 pm today. Sources said, 10 person have been injured in the accident and one person has died on the spot. The deceased’s name is Tarangi Debbarma, age 32 years.
Afterwards public informed the fire brigade personnel over this occurrence. The fire service personnel arrived on the spot and immediately picked up them in bloody condition and brought him to Khowai District Hospital. The critical condition seriously injured 9 was referred to GBP Hospital, Agartala for better treatment, 1 died on the way.
After a few days, major accidents are happening in Khowai, traffic police cannot notice that kind of surveillance. All their time the helmat of the bike is busy checking the documents. Meanwhile, the police administration is not paying attention to the fact that autos always travel with 6 to 7 passengers. According to sources, the auto was carrying five to seven passengers. What is to be seen now is the role of the traffic police in the coming days.
