Road Woes Triggered Spark Amidst Villagers.

Amarpur, Tripura, 2nd of June 2026 : The dilapidated road has turned into death trap for the indigenous Kaipeng inhabitants of Dhanlekha and its adjacent areas under Ampi Nagar block in Gomati Tripura. As per the report of the villagers, the road from Rabiroy Para to Longtheng Para about 2.5 km distance in Dhanlekha VC is in horrible state. Sources said, due to worst state of the road of Dhanlekha VC and its adjacent areas are suffering too much in their daily movement for last many decades. Due to deteriorated road condition villagers are facing acute communication hindrance rapidly specially in this rainy season their sufferings knows no bound.

According to the local report, the road from Rabiroy Para to Longtheng Para about 2.5 km distance is very useful for the villagers of Dhanlekha VC and its adjacent areas. This portion is fully damaged, full of potholes, sides collapsed and after rain the heaps of mud vehicles can’t approach into the village properly. Drivers are in fear for any kind of unexpected incidence. During emergency cases like delivery case, accident incident as well as movement at night in rainy season is creating abundant sufferings for the locals. In summer season students are the worst victim as the road becomes dangerous for pedestrians.

Some senior citizens of the victim areas said, “Our village road about 2.5 km distance is in horrible condition at present. Now-a-days the road has turned into a death trap for students and the senior citizens of our locality. Due to rain its sides have been collapsed, here and there uncountable holes, potholes and heaps of mud have created it critical for the pedestrians and vehicles.” They more added stating that they have appealed many times to the concerned block authority to do maintenance on this road but there is no any initiative till the date.

In every year during raining season they are suffering much for last many decades. Villagers can not take vehicle to handle emergency cases like to take patient or pregnant woman to hospital on timely. The concerned authority must visit the road and take necessary action to provide relief these victim poor Kaipeng villagers, demanded the local indigenous inhabitants of Dhanlekha VC.
