Agartala, Tripura, 2nd of August, 2025 : With the initiative of Rural Development Department Government of Tripura Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh has been organized at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala in Tripura on Saturday (2nd August, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that The main goal of the current Government is to achieve 100 percent success in the schemes of the Central And State Governments for the welfare of the people who are backward in terms of development. In order to complete the incompleteness of the socio-economic development of the people and the infrastructural development of the State, a concerted effort of all levels of officials from various departments, starting from public representatives, is essential. In this regard, the monitoring system also needs to be strengthened. At the event, the Chief Minister pressed the button and launched the ‘Mukhyamantri Navdisha Abhiyan’ and 80 integrated farming clusters for self-help group.

At the event, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that through the ‘Mukhyamantri Navdisha Abhiyan’, the living standards of 10,000 families in 16 blocks of the State whose marginalized family members have not yet come under the umbrella of self-help groups will be improved. An expenditure of Rs. 50 crore has been allocated for this. Currently, there are 53,951 self-help groups in the state. In which 4 lakh 84 thousand women are associated. These self-help groups are playing a special role in strengthening the economic base of rural Tripura. In addition, steps are being taken to improve 4,000 poor families in Ganganagar of Dhalai district and Dashda block of Uttar district under the ‘Tripti’ program. Moreover, through 80 integrated farming clusters, women self-help group members in 8 districts of the state who are involved in earning a living in agriculture-related matters will be helped. In this case, an expenditure of Rs. 32 crore will be spent.

Highlighting on the event, the Chief Minister remarked that that the Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman was conducted in 112 aspirational districts and 500 aspirational blocks of the country as per the policy guidelines of NITI Aayog. The 3-month program was launched from July 4, 2024 to September 30, 2024. The program was implemented in the only aspirational district of the state, Dhalai, and 3 aspirational blocks, Ganganagar in Dhalai district and Dashda and Damchara in North Tripura district respectively. The objective of the program at the block level was to achieve full success in determining the 6 key indicators of the people of those areas, namely the percentage of women registered in the first 3 months of pregnancy, the percentage of people tested for diabetes and hypertension, the percentage of women receiving nutrition, the percentage of self-help groups receiving soil health cards and revolving funds. Moreover, at the district level, the percentage of women registered within the first 3 months of pregnancy, the percentage of women receiving nutrition, the percentage of vaccination of children aged 9 to 11 months, the rate of issuance of soil health cards, the rate of secondary level schools with electricity and the percentage of schools providing textbooks within 1 month of the start of the academic year were successful in determining the percentage of women registered within the first 3 months of pregnancy, the percentage of women receiving nutrition.

At the function, the Chief Minister presented awards to North Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Chandni Chandran and former District Magistrate District Magistrate and Collector Debapriya Vardhan, Dhalai District Magistrate and Collector Vivek H. B. and former District Magistrate Saju Vaheed, along with BDOs of Ganganagar, Dasda and Damcherra blocks and various level officers for successfully completing the completion drive.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were , Hon’ble Finance, Planning & Coordination, Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Secretary of the Planning Department L. T. Darlong, Additional Secretary of the Rural Development Department Kuntal Das, CEO of Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) Tarit Kanti Chakma, BDOs, officials from various departments, and members of self-help groups from various districts, and many others remained present in the programmes.
