Gurugram, 6th of August, 2026 : Samsung’s 8th generation foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 have broken all pre-order records. This reflects the growing trend of foldable technology in India and tremendous customer enthusiasm. Over 2,71,000 pre-orders were registered for these new devices within just 72 hours of their launch in India on July 22. Last year, Samsung India took 15 days to get the same number of pre-orders for its Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 have achieved this spectacular success, with 45% of pre-orders coming from tier 2 and smaller cities. This reflects the growing demand for foldable devices in these regions, thereby emerging as a new market with immense potential. The Galaxy Z Fold8 offers a new foldable experience that is designed keeping in mind how people consume content throughout the day.
