SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das Inaugurates The Newly Constructed Fish Market Shed.

Jolaibari, South Tripura, 11th of June, 2025 : With the initiative of Fisheries Department Government of Tripura inauguration ceremony of the Newly Constructed building of Fish Market Shed at Baikhora Market under Jolaibari Constituency, South Tripura on Wednesday (11th June, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das the event by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of the Newly Constructed Fish Market Shed Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das said that We must take appropriate advantage of government projects to become self-reliant and strengthen the rural economy through animal husbandry. The Fisheries Minister said that the Government is digging new ponds for fish farming to meet the needs of the people of the state, fish farmers are being provided with fish fry, fish food, water body renovation and other items. Even financial assistance has been provided to flood-affected fish farmers. Animal husbandry is being provided with various projects to raise ducks and peacocks, cattle, pigs and goats. Free vaccinations and medicines are being provided to keep animals free from diseases. A financial assistance of Rs 6000 is being provided under the “Pradhan Mantri Pranipalan Nidhi Yojana”.

Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Cooperation, Tribal Welfare (TRP & PTG), Welfare of Minorites Sukla Charan Noatia, South Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Dipak Dutta, Jolaibari Panchayat Samiti Chairman Tapas Datta, Social activist Sujit Datta and many others remained present in the event.
