Secretary Tribal Welfare Inaugurated  One Day Workshop On TRESP At Dasarath Dev Auditorium.

Agartala, Tripura, 18th of June, 2025 : An Workshop on TRESP Project have been organised under leadership of Agriculture Specialist Mr. Subrata Shiv in association with Project Implementation Unit ( PIU) – Agriculture Department , Govt. of Tripura .Sri. K. Sashikumar , Secretary Tribal Welfare inaugurated the Programme on 18th June .Dr. P. B. Jamatia & K. Sashikumar have elaborated the scope of the project and its expected road map for implementation .

Tripura Rural Economic Growth & Service Delivery Project  ( TRESP) is a World Bank funded Project running under Tribal Welfare Department . The Project is being implemented in 23 block areas and agricultural development , creation of agriculture based producer groups will be done by the TRLM but after formation , there are lots of activities to be done by the Agriculture Department . Thematic technical training  to producer groups ,business plan preparation , package of practice, Farmers Field Schools  etc. and so on is under prime responsibility of the Agriculture Department. Until the local level officials of the Agriculture department are involved in an active manner, it seems difficult to implement each deliverables of the project on time.

With this thought process of the Agriculture Specialist Sri. Subrata Shib & support of the Project Implementation Unit ( PIU) , Agriculture Department, this one day workshop has been organised at Dasarath Dev auditorium . Officials of Agriculture , Horticulture , TRESP block project management units , District units of TRESP , officials from TRLM state Mission Management Unit ,Specialists from TRESP-PMU have attended the workshop . Ms. Sonali Laskar has delivered an overview on the coordination mechanism of TRESP for smooth implementation of the project . A total of around 100 officials from district , block and state actively participated in the workshop and shared their valuable opinions .
