Agartala, Tripura, 22nd December, 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Monday (22nd December, 2025). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested one (1) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized a total of 10.240 Kg dry cannabis (Ganja).
According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala at about 3 PM Railway Police managed to catch one Auto rickshaw displayed bearing registration number-TR01-L-3452 at Agartala Railway Station parking area in between Pay & use toilet and RPF Post along with its owner cum driver namely Abhijit Roy (25), S/O-Sri Sajal Roy of Maheshkhala, ward no-06, PS- Amtali, West Tripura along with total 10.240 Kg purported to be contraband Ganja in his bag. The value of this Ganja is Rs-2 Lakh approx in black market. Accordingly Railway Police arrested him from Agartala Railway station parking area and seized the contraband Ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP116, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/25/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against him.
