Agartala, Tripura, 23rd of May 2026 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station Thursday (21st May, 2026). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested two (2) Juveniles drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station and seized total of 12.250 Kg Ganja.
According to sources, Tripura Railway Police at about 12 PM, to apprehend two (2) Juveniles conflict with law at parking area in between RPF Post Agartala and pay & use toilet of Agartala Railway Station along with total 12.250 Kg full of contraband ganja concealed inside their respective trolley bags.
The value of this consignment is Rs- 1,50,000/- approx in black market. Accordingly we have apprehended them and seized the contraband ganja. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no- 2026/GRP/035, dtd-21/05/2026, U/S- 20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act 1985 has registered against them.
Interacted with media Inspector Raju Bhowmik, Officer in Charge Agartala Railway Police Station gave details about this today. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
