Agartala, 22nd of December 2023 : Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers presented a ‘Season’s Special Educational Outing For ‘Swarnagram Shikshalaya‘ School Children’ from ‘Swarnagram’ Warengbari.
Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers’ ‘Swarnagram‘ is a model village project and this move – initiated in 2009 – is dedicated to the upliftment of lives and livelihood of people in the tribal hamlet of Warengbari in Gomati district of Tripura and also to showcase the ethnic culture of the dwindling Reang tribal community there.
And ‘Swarnagram Shikshalaya’ is a residential school project of Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers that has been adopted – to add to existing facilities and amenities for resident students, provide proper nutrition and study material, organize dedicated teachers, sports instructors and scholarships for meritorious students.
The ‘Season’s Special Educational Outing’ was organized for all 119 students of ‘Swarnagram Shikshalaya‘ who came accompanied by their teachers and were taken around places of special interest in and around Agartala.
The outing began with sight-seeing at the Ujjayanta Palace and then to Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers. After that they visited Heritage Park. The excursion ended with a study-tour of Science City and all that it housed.
Dipak Majumder, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation graced the occasion as Chief Guest – at Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers, Agartala – and encouraged the ‘Swarnagram Shikshalaya’ students to keep learning from life.
“It gives me great pleasure to be here with the students of Swarnagram Shikshalaya to encourage them to keep learning from life”, said Dipak Majumder, Hon’ble Mayor. He praised Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers for their efforts.
And, after that, there was a merry get-together at the jewellery showroom – with much feasting and gifting – all in the spirit of the season. The performances of the students won the hearts of all.
‘Swarnagram’ is an initiative that is very close to our heart and the objective of this educational outing – and many other excursions in the future – is to take these ‘Swarnagram Shikshalaya’ boys and girls, who we have seen growing up, out of their village and expose them to different environments – for them to experience the change of scene and gain from all the learning there”, said Rupak Saha, Director, Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers.
