Khowai, 12th of May, 2024 : In a shocking incident a case of police brutality has come to light from Khowai Police Station. According to the details of the incident, at around 9:00 PM last Thursday night, in front of Khowai Subhash Park Out Post, there was a wedding ceremony at the house of an SPO jawan named Dipak Das, and he came to take some things for the ceremony.
At that time the Sub Inspector of Khowai Police Station was going to Khowai Police Station after completing his duty. Then he saw four or five people standing in front of the out post. Seeing them stopped the car and asked what they were doing then one SPO jawan said she came to get some things for the wedding ceremony. And she introduced herself as SPO jawan.
According to sources, Inspector was very drunk and took the SPO jawan in the car to the police station. There he brutally thrashing SPO jawan with shoes. Everyone was shocked to see this feat of Inspector. After the spread of this matter, it is said that the Khowai District Superintendent of Police conducted a preliminary investigation and temporarily suspended Ramakrishna Das. According to sources, Shri Das has been suspended many times for unethical activities. Moreover, this incident has created a lot of anger among the SPO jawans.
