Sonamura, Tripura, 5th of December, 2025 : Sonamura Police in joint operations with 81th BN BSF, secret operation was launched in at Sonamura on Thursday (4th December, 2025). Sonamura Police, arrested two drug paddlers.
Interacted with the media, Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that, a case was registered against two drug paddlers in Sonamura Police Station. The names of the arrested persons Abbas Miah (24) (Rahul /Bhuttu) S/O-Lt. Suman Miah and Shafik Miah (30), S/O- Lt. Abul Kashem, both are residents of the Bholamura area under Sonamura Police Station.
OC also added that Sonamura police station has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal contrabands. Many more people from that area may be arrested in this case. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day .
