Sonamura Police arrested One Drug Peddler.

Sonamura, Tripura, 6th of May 2026 : Sonamura Police arrested one drug peddler from his residence on Wednesday (6th May, 2026).

According to report, it is worth mentioning that on the night of 13/11/2025, police from Sonamura Police Station conducted a joint operation in Kalapania Ward No. 2 and seized a total of 30.170 kg of dry ganja from the house of Delwar Hossain @ Kurshed. A white private car bearing registration number TR-03Q-0568 was also recovered during the operation.

NDPS case registered at Sonamura Police Station; Khorshed Alam arrested earlier. Following the investigation, another alleged drug peddler, Zakir Hossain (43), has been arrested from the same area and will be produced before the court with police seeking remand.
