Sabroom, Tripura, 17th of March 2026 : On specific information of the Sonamura Police secret operation was launched in Sonamura on Wednesday (18th March, 2026). Sonamura Police, recovered and seized total 30 Kg Ganja (cannabis).
According to sources, Sonamura Police conducted raid and search at N C Nagar border road and recovered and seized total 30 kg DRY ganja, as unclaimed. After that seized it after observing all legal formalities as unclaimed. And Sonamura police station has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal ganja. Destination of black market value of the seized ganja approx – 6 Lakh only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station gave details about this matter. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
