Sonamura, Tripura, 7th of May 2026 : Sonamura police during patrolling duty recovered and seized total 4000 nos. Yaba Tablets, weight-400 gram into 20 pouches at Srimantapur border road, Sonamura under Sepahijala District on Wednesday (6th May 2026).
According to sources, Sonamura Police Station recovered and seized total 4000 nos. Yaba Tablets, weight-400 gram into 20 pouches. After that, it was seized following all legal formalities as unclaimed.
The destination market value of the seized Yaba Tablets is approximately to be 3 Lakh only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal seizes Yaba tablets. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
